PRP for hair loss is simply a life changing procedure. Most of you have heard of PRP, but what is it? And what does it do for hair loss? PRP (or Platelet Rich Plasma) is a treatment for hair thinning and loss and has been around since the 80’s. It slows thinning and encourages hair growth.

Our blood is made of two main components: red blood cells, and plasma. Our plasma contains white blood cells and platelets, which are rich in growth factors.
Growth factors play the role of messengers, signaling activity of our hair follicles that promote new hair growth.

Blood is drawn (usually from your arm) and is put into a centrifuge which spins the blood. The platelet rich plasma is extracted and injected into the scalp. It’s safe and effective.

Anyone experiencing hair loss is essentially a good candidate for PRP, but those with early hair loss tend to respond best. A consistent treatment cycle of once a month for 3-4 months is the sweet spot for best results
