Polydioxanone (PDO) threads are a dissolvable suture that builds your collagen through the body’s natural healing process, while also creating biostimulation so your skin develops better blood flow, tightening your skin and improving your overall texture and look

PDO threads are similar to what is used for sutures during medical procedures. PDO Threads ignites collagen stimulation processes within your skin to add volume and support. This technique can improve sagging on the face and body precipitated by aging or weight loss. To see results, you may need only one PDO Treatment initially. You may need follow-up treatments after 2 – 3 years. It may take up to six months to see the final result via your body’s natural healing process.

PDO Threads can be used in many areas of the face and body to restore elasticity by creating new collagen that lifts and restores your skin.

What Areas Can Be Treated with PDO Threads?

PDO Threads very versatile, allowing practically all areas of the face to be treated, including the:

  • Under Eye area
  • Eyebrows
  • Crow’s feet (wrinkles around eyes)
  • Cheeks
  • Nasolabial folds
  • Naso-jugal folds
  • Wrinkles around the mouth (smokers’ lines)
  • Jawline
  • Jowls
  • Neck
  • The cheeks & lower face, in particular, benefit greatly from the procedure.

Is It Painful?

To ensure comfort for the patient, a local anesthetic may be administered at both the entry points and the anchoring points of the threads.

The thread runs inside a blunt cannula that will be used to position the thread according to the marking. The cannula is then pulled back, and the thread is tucked under the skin. This method provides effective lifting that can be seen almost immediately following treatment. Further sessions may be recommended to achieve maximum results depending on individual needs.

The experienced providers at Cure Med Spa can discuss any questions regarding thread lifts during your initial complimentary consultation.
