Microneedling with Botox is a form of skin treatment that many swear by. It involves mixing serums with Botox and micro-needling. Unlike traditional Botox injections, this process pushes the cocktail (Botox included) into the dermal level without getting into the muscular level like regular injections do. Results vary per person, but most agree that this technique is highly effective and perfect for those wanting to combat signs of aging in their skin.
Is There Downtime After?
After the treatment, the remaining serums and SPF are applied. As the numbing cream wears off, there is a burning sensation for a short time, Followed by another period of about 20 minutes when skin may be sensitive. This feeling passes after a while. There’s not necessarily any downtime but it helps to moisturize your skin as much as possible because your skin is more absorbent during this time; better letting your products do their job than piling on makeup attempting to hide redness from coworkers.
What Is the Post-Care Regimen?
Aside from keeping your skin moisturized, We’ve found taking Arnica tablets before and after treatment cuts the healing time. (Hint 2 days before). SPF is also a MUST if you plan on going outside. This one comes highly recommended and has been my go-to. Lastly, a good sheet mask at the end of the day, post-treatment, really helps to calm the skin and absorb more of ALL the good stuff.
How Often Should You Do It?
Most Cure patients see great results from just one treatment that will last up to 3 months. The procedure may be repeated every one to three months. This beautiful facial does not replace cosmetic Botox treatment for wrinkles and facial/neck aesthetics nor traditional injectable Hyaluronic Acid dermal fillers for facial rejuvenation.
